Stella Stars is our Birth to Five Early Learning Program that we run each Wednesday in our Kindergarten classrooms at Stella Maris Catholic Primary School.
We proudly run Catholic Education Tasmania’s Setup For Success Program through our Stella Stars sessions. Setup for Success is a free early years program promoting learning for life for both young children and their families.
Parents/carers attend Setup for Success alongside their children in a welcoming and inspiring environment designed to promote development across all learning areas.
Stella Stars sessions provide
a special opportunity to
enjoy engaging with your child,
as they explore, create and discover.
All families from the community with a child/children aged between birth and five years old are welcome to join our sessions.
Each week our Setup for Success program coordinators will work with families to:
- Support parental understanding of child development.
- Respond to learners’ interests, strengths and needs.
- Communicate the learning that is on offer, and why this learning is important to their child.
- Provide resources to assist families to continue to support their children’s learning in their home settings.
We encourage your feedback and contribution to our program.
*Please note: attendance at Stella Stars sessions does not guarantee enrolment at Stella Maris Catholic Primary School. Enrolment at the school is a separate process.
Stella Stars Sessions:
We currently run two sessions each Wednesday during the school terms:
Session 1: 9:15-10:45 am
Session 2: 12:00-1:30 pm

What to bring:
- A drink bottle
- A piece of fruit
- A hat
- Gumboots (for sandpit & water play)
